Block him, and he cannot stop you from ending a relationship, if he tries to continue to talk to you get grounds to get a restraining order. I hate that men think they can control how long a relationship will be, it can end even with a block button.

trying to talk about it is understandable but I agree with #1 that saying no to you in this context is a pretty huge red flag. I maybe wouldn't go straight to blocking him but I also wouldn't blame you if you did.
