If it’s super awkward or the guy is strange then agreed, but if thats the case OP should say that. It would be more constructive than “didn’t feel a connection”. If it was a good date and you don’t feel a connection that doesn’t mean there would never be one, it could just mean that you don’t know each other well enough yet. It depends on the context.

I see that but it’s hinge. they’re not obligated to give constructive criticism to their dates, I think OPs message a simple and kind and gets the message across perfectly.

I mean yeah there’s no obligation but imo it’s human decency. Imagine you’re on the receiving end of that, you’d want to know if you did something wrong.
