Well the thing about a date is if it’s personal to her interests it’s a lot nicer to her than an overly fancy date…find something she likes…like bowling or the aquarium ect and go to that…as for asking her out I say to simply ask her…it doesn’t have to be extravagant simply slip it into a conversation like “if your free *insert day* idea love to take you to do *insert thing*” most women like the confidence and will appreciate the thought and effort in planning a date she likes - from a woman

Don’t go straight to going to dinner and a movie. Like #1 said bowling or an aquarium is good too. There’s also things like miniature golf or museums. You want something that if things don’t work out. You don’t feel bad for bailing. Plus if things are going well. Then you can be like I’m thinking about getting something to eat from this restaurant. Would you like to come?
