Shes extremely political and can’t accept that I don’t wanna hear or talk about it. She can talk about it with other people and stay up to date with everything, but I just rather not. I just wish she could accept that I’m just not that into politics

if she's extremely into politics it's probably because it's extremely important to her, morally. I could probably be described the same way and yeah, I'd want my partner to have similar values to me. it could definitely be an issue in the relationship...

Yeah it is important to her, but I don’t think she should be getting upset with me. For not wanting to be part of the discussion

We don’t really disagree. For the most part we have the same views. I just rather not talk about it all day everyday. The way I see it is it’s nice to be informed, but I rather not waste my energy criticizing something when I don’t plan on doing anything to try to stop it or do anything to support those who are actively doing things

I think she’s accepted that I don’t want to talk about it all the time, but she still doesn’t like it. I also think that her obsession with today’s political climate is a bit unhealthy. She’ll spend hours watching the news and her social media is basically just posts about politics. But whatever makes her happy works for me. I’ll support it
