i’d text him and say “hey i don’t really have the capacity to continue talking outside of work so I won’t be responding to your dms/messages in the future, sorry.”

I think you just have to be straight up with him and directly tell him no he’s just going to continue to dm you and if the issue gets out of hand please report it to your manager if needed!!
