If you’ve talked to him about it and nothings changed, I think you need to ask yourself if you can continue like this. It’s a hard sobering discussion to have with yourself and finding the answer may take some time. Be patient with yourself and true to what you want. No stranger on the internet will have the magic answer. I think honestly you just need to allow yourself the time to really think about if this is something worth continuing. If you really want to be with him, you could talk (1/2)
So update on the situation: I talked to him about it last night. I tried to stay calm, but then he initially acted oblivious, then had this whole moment of realization ig when I gave specific scenarios, then he went on this whole tangent about how he was a terrible boyfriend, how I deserved better, and how sorry he was, I told him I couldn’t accept an apology until change happened and explained how much the situation really affected me, and then he responded with saying that we should just—
—break up. I told him that it’s for the best, especially since this was the first time I really went down on him harshly/firmly instead of just backing down and apologizing to HIM whenever I try to explain my feelings (because he would pull the terrible boyfriend card again). Then he immediately blocked me on the main app of communication we were using and I woke up to all of his social media accounts being deactivated
Okay. So based on this I really think you need to say this to yourself: I did not cause this, this isn’t my thing to own. This is his to own. You held your ground, and spoke up for yourself. In a relationship that truly was meant to have a future, that wouldn’t blow the relationship up. This isn’t on you. I’ll say it again: this isn’t on you (1/2)
Please don’t take this on. Judging by his reaction from what info you’ve given, he’s voiding his deeper issues. He avoided taking accountability by doing the classic “I’m a bad boyfriend” thing. You don’t deserve that. You know you don’t deserve that. It doesn’t make it hurt less, and I’m sorry for whatever you’re feeling or will feel about this. But please, don’t take on this immaturity okay?
And I definitely think that’s something that I’ll have to work through. Because I figured that when he blocked me, that’s all it’d be, and he would just be another ex that I stopped speaking to (he would be the fourth person I’ve seriously been with, and now I only speak to one of my exes). But then he deactivated all of his stuff and I felt terrible and honestly a little worried since I have friends of his added on Instagram and I don’t know how he’ll explain the situation. But I also know—
—that it’s not my fault. Especially because the whole thing that caused this fight between us was the fact that (heavy stuff in the next line, I’ll mark the start and end with ⚠️) ⚠️he went against my boundaries many times, especially in the bedroom⚠️ and that isn’t any fault of my own, but it’ll just be hard to not blame myself for a bit
