Genuinely how do I recover from BED? I don’t want to be like this anymore but i feel so shameful asking for help bc I don’t want to seem like I’m just a fat fuck who’s addicted to food

Right!! I’m struggling with this rn too. Especially being home for the summer I gained at least 10-15 pounds😭 Being at college kept me more distracted and busy but I fell into a bad binge cycle home. Dreading going back🥲 anyways.. wish I knew the answers

Recently, I have been chewing gum to curve other habits of mine like nail biting and skin picking. I’m realizing that it also impacting my BED positively. It probably won’t work for everyone, but maybe try chewing mint gum pretty frequently. It is hard for me to eat when the minty taste lingers, so it has helped me at least a little

first you are loved! it’s NOT shameful at all to ask for help! it’s actually so courageous & the most brave thing anyone can. to ask for help & allow it!! struggling is HARD & NOT something we are meant to do or figure out alone. that is why resources/professionals exist! so please ask for help because it’s actually the strong thing to do & at the end of the day it’s what will save and improve your mental health & quality of life & be the best thing you did! plus they don’t judge! just help!🩷
