I really thought the same thing until our job started implementing it to where it can do many things on our behalf. You’d be surprised at what AI can do. Even the simple functions help corporations out so greatly that it’ll certainly be worth getting rid of employees as it continues to advance so they can save money

No I’ll for sure grant you that the people at the very genius level who are employed (or more likely the is the entrepreneur of their own company) in high ranks are going to be valuable and likely the controllers of ai within their companies. They’re just going to be the puppet masters in the scheme of things. Like a perfect example is the guy FaceIQ who has AI controlling his metrics of perfect facial ratios and giving advice to people. He makes the profit for his coding that he gave to ai

Things like this still involve ai. He doesn’t choose to hire people to learn his metrics and give out personalized advice because that costs more money than just getting a fairly reliable ai source to give the advice out for him. This will and has started to apply to more and more companies and corporations. All except for the geniuses, inventors, successful entrepreneurs and their nepo babies who take over their parents comapanies will thrive

My fear is that those with real skill will be the entrepreneurs controlling ai. I fear they’re going to quickly try to kill us off by cutting off our job supply to where no one except for the top is even able to buy food. And I don’t think they’ll value us as workers, so I imagine those capable will be hunters (perhaps build small communes with the survivors they stumble upon) while the rest will be forced out of work and die. Especially those in the big cities. It’ll be survival of the fittest

I know this sounds pretty crazy dystopian and I don’t see this going into full effect at least until 2050, but I do see jobs slowly but steadily disappearing right now due to ai. For every job that replaces humans with ai, that’s another position a human could take for survival. If jobs are taken up one by one, eventually it will solely be run by the families of the geniuses who do everything through ai so they can keep their money within the family. I believe that greed will do this to us
