character who’s been confirmed gay since season 1 came out to a room of like 15+ people in the 80s midwest, many of whom he has barely any relationship with & one he JUST met, because he doesn’t want his sexuality to be used against him by a wizard. this decision was spurred by being tortured with visions we never see. in doing so he equates his love for his best friend to just being a hallway crush. scene ends with a “i’m radio rebel” esque scene where his friends announce their support.

not to mention this scene was placed at the end of the final episode before the series finale, which completely disrupted the pacing right before they leave to battle this wizard in another dimension. incredible
