Well it’s really because consumers want the cards so badly they’re willing to pay any price to get them. This encourages people to scalp Pokémon cards and charge hundreds of dollars for them. And then we want it so badly we buy it, continuing the cycle. It’s just a giant case of FOMO and believing the cards will run out at some point.
