Silver roots=water it (not with ice cubes). When watering, drown it. The flowers will die, it’s okay, the plant is not dead. Cut back the spike with clean shears to the next spot on the stem that a flower will come from that’s closed (you’ll see a little flap) I also love watching PlantsWithKrystal on YouTube, she’s very funny and has lots of orchid tips. Watch her videos for more, they’re entertaining

Personally I like putting mine in moss and watering very little/infrequently… I have a hard time telling silver from green so I water when the leaves are kinda floppy (if the orchid is hydrated it should be firm)… Make sure you have bright indirect light!!!

get her out of that bs wood chips and into some dirttttttt they put them into the wood chips to kill them intentionally

Be careful with dirt. Use an orchid mix (often includes orchid bark which is those wood chips) instead because orchids are epiphytes. They grow on the sides of plants in nature and aren’t used to sitting in moisture which is what soil captures and holds onto
