because its the winter time your plants need significantly less water with the shorter days. you could just give everyone a really good soak and leave it up to survival of the fittest. i also had a great RA who was there over the break and would go check on them for me, so friends who are from the area or anyone u know who’s staying on campus for some reason may be able to help ease your mind about the babies.
I know I’m late but if you have a pot with drainage you can intentionally overwater it (or just put water in the saucer) a bit so that way the plant can suck up water from the bottom. It’s worked pretty well for me thus far. Alternatively you can get some boxes and just bring them with you, just be careful driving so they don’t tip over
I’m too scared to ask my RAs cause I haven’t talked with them too much lol. I’ll water them all the day before leaving and use plastic wrap for my big plants and ziploc baggies for the smaller ones. I have one watering orb somewhere I’ll try for my philodendron who’s been very thirsty lately
After reading these, I think I’m going to water everyone of them right before leaving, use a watering orb for my philodendron or maranta (haven’t decided which, and use plastic wrap or ziploc to keep in moisture. If I have the mental strength to, maybe I’ll ask my RA, but I’ll do my best to set them up for success for the month alone
