a youtube channel called herons bonsai makes really great videos on starting bonsais using regular trees! would recommend :)

i’m working on a jade bonsai rn. they love abuse and reshaping; i literally just chopped mine in half for the second time this year and it’s happier than ever. would highly recommend if your new/nervous.
