you can try potting them in pure pearlite for a week or two before moving them to soil, I’ve always had success with that

They can stay in water a pretty long time. If you’re wanting to move them into soil I’d actually suggest you do a semi hydro set up first, as it will greatly reduce the risk of shock/die back while avoiding root system stress. Water roots don’t function the same as those grown in soil, and often have trouble acclimating if put directly into a potting mix.

I had my pothos in water for about 1.5 years and I moved it to some dirt and just made sure they got lots of water. What helped too was using one of the self watering bulbs and 2 years later is about 7 ft long

Overwater for a week or two to keep the moisture level up and gradually let the soil dry out. Still be prepared to lose some roots.
