I work in my colleges greenhouse. For mold susceptible areas we mix a bit of cinnamon into the potting mix. Not enough to make it hydrophobic, but enough to make it resist mold. We also use it to dry and sterilize cuttings that don’t benefit as much from rooting hormone.
