There was a lot of talk around the barn about wanting to get rid of her because she was “crazy” (new management came in so they weren’t the ones who rescued her). She wasn’t crazy, she was abused for the first 4 years of her life. That doesn’t just go away, you don’t just get a perfect pony out of that.

The best thing they ever did was give her “early retirement” so no one could ride her anymore. I would go everyday to take care of her still, I’d get her exercised in different ways, brush her wash her. She loved visiting the mini donkeys. But then I got sick and I couldn’t keep going and they got rid of her. I miss her so much, I hope she’s happy, I hope wherever she is they’re taking care of her.

She never really trusted anyone else like she did my mom and I. I don’t think anyone gave her the time or the chance to understand her and her feelings and needs. She was a completely different pony around us vs a stranger or a group of people. I could ride her with no problem but they would love to throw someone she didn’t know on and she’d buck them right off.
