It’s not silly at all. I hate that we grew up hearing “it’s just a fish” so commonly, even still common. It isn’t “just” anything. It’s a living thing that you willingly gave your time/effort and built a bond with. (And anyone that thinks you can’t build a bond with a fish is just ignorant and doesn’t know how to treat a pet.) You lost a beloved pet and you deserve the space to grieve that properly. Remember it’s okay to allow yourself that, friend.🫂
