Cats usually do that due to stress or pain, but some people overlook it as just asshole behavior. so them loving you doesn’t rlly factor into it

My cat poops within a few minutes of me getting home. Sometimes she doesn’t cover it so I turn on the bathroom fan.

That varies cat by cat, if it rarely occurs then maybe it’s also a sign of extreme trust.

I mean if can be that some cats have a lower threshold for stress tolerance than others but that’s the main cause 90% of the time and figuring out what’s behind it will make things better in the long run.
