Just adopted this baby from the shelter. She was their longest stay. This is her 2nd full day home and she is hiding on top of the kitchen cabinets. I have a second cat who has been growling and hissing but I believe that’s normal but I’m worried.

Give her some time! She’ll warm up. I foster kittens and cats and this is typical.

The kitty I’d already had for several months did this the first day in a new apartment. It’s normal and she’ll warm up and come down on her own volition :> best of luck

I’m not trying to be weird but your cabinets look like the exact layout of my first apartment ever! But this is exactly how my cat looks when she lays on top of the cabinets so it’s refreshing knowing it does improve for her

If you’re at ou, could very well be the same its a p big complex lol. Said kitty is currently standing there yelling at me while im running the air fryer so def does improve :>
