Update: I passed.
I literally don’t have an option. I have to lock in, study, and pass the SIE exam next weekend.

It wasn’t all that bad. There were a handful of questions that I had narrowed down to 50-50s as far as what the correct answer was goes. Of course, the exam is graded as pass/fail and you only know how far off you were if you failed it. So passing just shows blanketly that you passed, which means that I can’t say exactly how many questions I got right/wrong. Honestly, the experimental questions weren’t as noticeable as I thought they’d be. I had time left to re-check my answers too.

About a week’s worth of actual focused studying, but technically I’ve been “studying” since January. I have a class at university that has the SIE as part of our grade, so we go out studying materials paid for through the school. I’m honestly not the type to read through book material and online modules for hours on end, but that doesn’t mean that others shouldn’t do what suits them best.

Ah, that’s super cool that your college helps you get your SIE. The firm I’m looking to intern for wants me to get my 66, which doesn’t require my SIE. Is there any reason i should still look to earn my SI anyways?

Yeah, you should definitely still pursue the SIE. It’s the prerequisite to a lot of other exams administered by FINRA, and if you’re going to work within the industry anyways then you’d rather not have that exam as an extra hurdle whenever an opportunity comes knocking.

If you’re asking if it’s multiple choice, then yes. The test is entirely multiple choice.
