At what point do yall feel comfortable spending money on something you want, like a trip? I am doing well for my age, but everytime I get to the point where I decide I will do something for myself I feel guilty and push that milestone further back

I jumped the gun and reserved an Airbnb for next year. Gotta take a vacation every once in a while and by paying for it now I feel I won’t feel as guilty 6 months out from it. Never know when your time is up or your health will take a turn. Took me saving figures to be able to make that purchase without feeling like crap

Usually i set goals for how much i want to save or put away so that I know i have X amount to be free with and still stay to my goal it’s not meant to be exact but helps

For me if you have an emergency fund, are saving at least 15% towards retirement, and are debt free then do whatever you want with the rest.

Knowing that you have at least 6 months of expenses set aside def eases the guilt
