Yo I pay my card in full every month and have never missed or been late on a payment. Been doing this for 3 years and my score just keeps going down. Like it will go up and then go back down for no reason

It’s been hovering around the same score (775) for like 8 months now. It’ll go up a few points and then go back down and then go up

I’m curious how you got your actual score? I got my free credit report that’s required to be provided by law but it didn’t have it and every time I try to access it thru my bank or credit card companies, they want me to consent to more offers and to share my score with their “partner” which I don’t want

I don’t think that will affect your credit

When I buy a bunch of chips, lose it all, and have to take out a loan it sure will 😈

False. Paying off your loans doesn’t increase your credit score it decreases it

Technically, sure. But I haven’t had student loans in four years and an auto loan in two and I’m doing pretty good for myself on the credit front

Paying off debt is great. You should do that even though it drops your score. I’m just saying paying off debt doesn’t increase your credit score it lowers it. Your average age of accounts and number of accounts go down which negatively impacts your score

I also got a couple more cards, which I was able to do to HELP my credit because I DON’T have a lot of debt to make me drown. When I lost 5 accounts (4 student loans and a car loan) I replaced them with a few cards, which are much better long-term for obvious reasons. But yeah 100% agree with you

Your credit report will have it. You can also use credit karma
