I have discover cashback as my first credit card. Had it for a year and half now with a 780 credit score. Thinking about getting a second one. What would be best with no payments included?

I’m not super well versed in this area, but I think a strong move would be getting a Chase Freedom Unlimited for a solid 1.5% on everything plus bonus categories and future travel upside OR Citi Double Cash for a simple, flat 2% on all purchases OR American Express Blue Cash Everyday if you spend a lot on groceries and gas. Any of these keeps things fee-free while leveling up your rewards and credit.

Centurion had a 10k initiation fee and a 5k annual fee and JPM Reserve is only 550 a year. So $5,550 to be exact in annual fees.

what would you say about the savor card?

Savor is definitely a strong credit card to have, but it’s really just preference atp. I categorized each one, which might help: Savor = 3% on food/dining/some entertainment. Chase Freedom = balanced (3% dining + 1.5% everywhere). Citi Double Cash = simple 2% cash back on everything. Let me know if you have any other questions!

What about the american express blue cash? Also is the 3% for food for chase and savor the same thing?

American Express Blue Cash is a bit different, it usually gives higher cash back on groceries and streaming, but less on general dining or entertainment compared to Savor or Freedom. As for the 3% on food: Savor gives 3% on dining and some entertainment, while Chase Freedom gives 3% on dining but not on entertainment. So they overlap on restaurants but not everything else.
