Let me clarify; you’re right to say that day trading is inherently risky since you are literally risking money in hopes of making a return, but what I mean is that people don’t use the tools they have available to them (like leverage) in service of smart risk management; they just use it to gamble. Leverage on its own does not matter, but how it’s used does. 9 times out of 10 the difference between a profitable trader and a gambler is their risk management strategy.
