Wait so is the entire silena beckendorf plotline being skipped for the show? It’s lowkey an important plotline…shows the difference bw luke’s army and CHB’s, the biggest betrayal & hero’s redemption…literally the turning point for CHB winning the war ☹️

They’re not casting major characters this early. They don’t have confirmation for later seasons. When they’re ready to commit to an actor it’ll be because they have the season where they’re important greenlit. That’s why Blackjack doesn’t talk in season 2, because at the time season 3 wasn’t greenlit and they didn’t want to settle on an actor just yet especially if they’re going to only say like two lines. We’ll get Selena and Beckendorf for sure, just down the line when they’re more important

Yea but if think about it, in the book and movie it wasn’t about Grover immediately. Grover wasn’t taken until after they were already on their quest for the fleece but bc he’s so important and it started with missing him, I think this allowed for the pace to quicken

It’s not even abt the romance, like silena showed percy the pegasi and beckendorf is the only person at camp to welcome tyson and shows him the forge. They’re such important characters and it seems like they’re getting skipped over

Two pretty important powers of Percy’s appear to have been skipped over as well, the absolute navigation and talking to horses

No yeah you’re so right 💔💔 cause it’s like even if they’re in the show later we should’ve still been able to see their castings but ig since we aren’t they’re either getting completely skipped or maybe pushed back to later seasons 😔

If I had to guess, I’d say they skipped silena and beckendorf this season because they aren’t as important to the plot as they are later. I’m guessing they’ll be in seasons 4 or 5 since they’re much more involved there.

Ooh that makes sense actually! Would’ve been cool to see them though instead of random OCs lol. Cause when they are eventually introduced they’ll have no past with the mains (unless they do flashbacks ig?) so it’ll feel like they’re new characters rather than some of the longest campers if that makes sense?

Yeah that makes sense. I trust the show writers to do a good job establishing connections though. They did a good job continually establishing Luke’s and Percy’s relationship through season 1 when we got like one or two episodes of them together at camp
