Hybrid could get like 60mpg and you don’t have to plug it in

Nuclear fusion. (A little DIY project I’ve almost completed. I hope I don’t accidentally get shot by a heart attack gun. 🤞)

Depends on where I’m living. If I have the ability to charge it, I’d like a full EV

What is more desireable about a fully gasoline car than a hybrid electric car??

Same with plug in hybrids, but you get extra 50 miles on ev range

Those have a really bad track record of rapidly transforming into camp fires

Simplicity, ease of maintenance, weight, and they are cheaper. Hybrids have better mpg but they cost enough that depending on the lifespan of the car it might still be cheaper to have the fully gas engine and if you include maintenance its even more likely to be cheaper long term to do fully gas.

It sounds like hybrids are likely better but you could argue battery replacement costs, it not being good for the oil when the battery kicks in and the i.c.e. shuts off, you get condensation, oil not, getting up to temperature

Some hybrids are more complex with separate motors driving front and rear wheels

But they have the most problems per 100 vehicles per JD Power’s quality surveys
