Would you say you frequently use Ai to help you with your studies? (Not to cheat, but rather to understand the material better)

It just gives me incorrect answers for niche subjects in my field.

Why would I want machine hallucinations when I could just dissociate myself?

It doesn’t get me anywhere. If I ask it to do anything it rarely gives me an edge. That and I have to constantly second-guess it for hallucinations.

i use it semi-frequently as a stem major. it’s helped me in the past to get a better understanding of topics in math and physics, but emphasis on *better* because i definitely could not have solely relied on the given explanations to learn the topic. beyond helping me understand things it’s also really useful to generate notes and summaries on textbook readings (which i only use after first reading the textbook myself)

Sure, if you enjoy inaccuracies or completely fabricated info that’ll mislead you and make you a detriment to any field.

It can work for low level classes but it’s not going to help you with harder classes that require critical thinking unfortunately

Bro I’m not a fan of AI for learning either but all they said is they use it for studying. That’s kinda an extreme response

This semester I’ve been using it for probability and theoretical computer science, and its been good for both.

Ah yeah I was required to use it for a coding class and it was helpful as long as you understood how it was wrong and could fix it

I can’t see 1’s responses any more so I think they may have blocked me in anger over my response
