In these situations, i just eat the noodles, and can always have something small later if im still hungry at home. Avoids the analysis paralysis

No definitely not. I ended up saving the noodles for home (suffered and drank a lot of water at work) and when I got home, my grandma had made lasagna, of which I ate probably a full pound. I am SO glad I waited
