my roommate was pretty nice, he was super respectful and we would both let each other know when one of us wanted the room to ourselves to have sex with someone, and we were both quiet for the most part

I felt this! I transferred colleges and my roommates crashed out and told me never to talk to them again. I still don’t quite understand why but they did give me a sleep disorder so I can’t quite say I’m mad about it
