I think if you wanna do the big chop just do it at home, and if you mess up your hair its no biggie. You can always make an appointment afterwards

i cut my own hair (it’s long, fine, & straight) and would suggest it only if you have similar hair, easy to run a brush through and see clearly where it’s even. it’s really not that hard ngl. if you’re scared lookup a yt video, you got this! i couldn’t tell ya the last time i was in a salon & ive gotten so many compliments on my hair / haircuts over the years
