If I’m 5’9 and a half can I just say I’m 5’10?

I don’t know why people are saying no. If you wanted to round that number to the nearest inch, anything except for 5’10 would be incorrect. Like you’re not trying to make yourself sound taller it’s just how math works.

Height is like money, consumer wants you to round down and business wants to round up

I’m 5’6 1/2 and I often swap between saying I’m 5’6 and 5’7

N O. it genuinely infuriates me. I’m 5’7 but I say I’m 5’6” to idk like not exaggerate. If you lie about your height I will know immediately. I’ve been lied to about it countless times by men truly. Every man loves to say they’re closer to 6’ than they are it’s ridiculous, just be honest. I have a short friend who won’t swipe right on men over 5’9 ish bc she’s short & doesn’t wanna date tall guys bc of intimidation. Just be honest man

I mean, I’m like a centimeter off 5’10,” so I round. Besides, I mostly wear boots, so im usually over 6 feet when out.

Rounding up half an inch is way more truthful than what 90% of men do, so you’re fine tbh

Like 1 said though it would literally be rounding to the nearest inch so is it really that bad 😭

Right but like idk. I get you’re closer to that but like I said I’m 5’7 and say I’m 5’6 bc I don’t have the best posture like I’d just rather be more honest yk. Like it’s whatever. I just don’t wanna be surprised or expecting differently. It’s not that bad but idk, as a medium height girl I just wanna know the truth honestly, I feel like the difference between saying 5’9 and 5’10 isn’t that big of a deal as long as you’re not saying 6’

It’s more surprising when a guy who’s obviously 5’9-5’10 tries to say they’re 6’ and I’m literally the same height as them in my platform boots or I’m seeing them eye level. Like nah bro. You’re basically my height 😭

Also, if someone clocks you on half an inch, they’re the weird one for caring, not you

If you say you’re 5’6 when you’re 5’7 aren’t you exaggerating too

I don’t think so bc like as a girl is that so different, it’s mediocre height and like I said, I AM 5’7, I just don’t have the best posture so I say I’m 5’6, if I’m not standing up straight, which is most the time, I’m 5’6

I find it stupid exaggerating your height more than an inch because anyone will know eventually

I mean realistically no one is their full height 90% of the time because of slouching. I don’t think it means you’re exaggerating

Agreed. I get that dating apps are harder for short guys, but all you’re doing is starting your potential relationship off with a lie and letting your insecurity control you.

Forgot this thread didn’t specifically mention dating apps but hopefully you all still get what I’m saying

Yeah I mean I definitely wish I could say I was 6’ but there’s literally no point

Yeah, the only reason I’ve even considered it is because so many men lie about their height that a lot of women tend to automatically assume you’re exaggerating by a couple inches. But if saying our honest height is a deal breaker then it just isn’t meant to be and that’s okay.
