I’m sick and poor. I’m going to take some ibuprofen before bed, but I only have 7 200mg pills left. However, I have a bunch of 200mg pills that expired in 2022. Which do I take?

Those are very expired. Don’t take them. A few months over is ok, but beyond that is pushing it.

200 tabs of generic ibuprofen is like $5🫶 do you have a credit card or a friend who can spare $5?

Update: I took 3 of the expired ones. It didn’t hurt me, but they only provided minimal relief, less than one of the nonexpired pills. I’m just going to toss these. Also I’m too proud to accept outside help, but thank you for the offers.

shelf stable medicine typically doesn’t expire. but it loses effectiveness over time

Wait I’m confused why didn’t you just take 3 nonexpired ones if you have 7 of them lol
