All concerts are ritualistic from an anthropological/archaeological perspective. Cults, when defined non-pejoratively, are an emergent part of human nature, not necessarily a bad thing. The term comes from the Latin word "Cultus", which means "to care", from which the English "Culture" and "Cultivate" arise. Most, if not all, elements of human culture are cultish, with ritual and ceremonial practices of this "care" to some idea- whether it be a religious figure, an ideology, or even music.
I mean some artists have a very uhhhh enthusiastic fan base but I think it’s the opposite where cults will use the high emotion/high energy of live music performance as a tool to draw people in. Like when I was a kid I was told that that feeling was the Holy Spirit, turns out I just enjoy concerts
