Trans men are men and trans women are women.

As a cis guy dating a trans girl, trans people (at least in my experience) really dislike when you treat being attracted to them as making you bisexual. Trans women are women and want to be seen as such, so if you treat being attracted to them as making you bisexual, that indicates you don’t see them as women. Genital preference is a thing separate from what gender you are attracted to. If a gay guy has sex with a trans man that does not make him bi just because a vagina is involved.

But there’s a difference in body parts and if this person is specifically getting off on that, then no they are not completely straight

Its a spectrum, someones anatomy doesnt change their gender, if OP chooses to ID as straight then theyre straight 🤷‍♀️

Which is fine and if they choose to ID as bi then theyre bi, this isnt a people pick for you question your identity is whatever you feel best represents you

Straight means you’re attracted to the opposite sex, not gender. That’s why it’s called heterosexual. A trans woman is still male, and has male body parts

Re: your identity is whatever you feel best represents you, if your sexuality is based on sex? Cool! Someone elses can be based on gender and both are valid

Also plenty of trans people go through surgeries and hormone treatments and end up closer biologically to their target gender than og so that is also just an incorrect generalization

Actually, it’s called heterosexual because it has to do with sexual attraction, not with the subject of said attraction’s biological sex. That’s why there’s also the term heteroromantic, which has to do with romantic attraction. If you want to learn more, look up the Split Attraction Model (SAM).
