Should I spend my savings and go on a road trip for a month? I know it’s a terrible financial decision but I’m in college and idk if I’ll ever have a summer break ever again. I think it would be a great experience but I don’t wanna waste my money.

Ha buddy. In this economy… you’ll have plenty of free summers, and falls, and winters, and springs!

If you save and invest properly now you will end up with YEARS you can spend taking trips. Take the trip now sure but remember that in 30 years that one trip couldve turned into 10

That’s true. But I was thinking since I’m young now it would be formative for me. Also I wanna hit up all the national parks and I’m in good shape now

Absolutely understand that! Its abt what you care abt more, personally Im disabled so Id rather save and take more trips later bc it doesnt make a difference how much older I get, if you care about how physically fit you are for certain activities send it now, just dont put yourself in a bad spot where youre going check to check when you couldve been investing in yourself

Yeah, I’m just worried because the job market is atrocious and seems to only be getting worse. I really don’t wanna fuck myself over and come home with no money and no job prospects

It definitely is. Job market is cold 💩! I graduated in 2024, applied to more than 400 jobs since. Had ~6 interviews. 1 offer.
