I agree, but people tend to want a purpose. Maybe it doesn’t have to be an abstract purpose like these, but you’re telling me you’ve never had the motivation to do X because of Y? That in itself is a purpose, even if it’s short term

every human on earth has goals and motivations. i wouldn't say goals and motivations amount to life's purpose/meaning
