I feel as though middle school is where I could make the greatest impact. High school or college would be good but middle school would be the most important

High school students would not understand my level of English lit or grammar knowledge 🙂‍↕️

I’ve always said that my backup career would be a preschool teacher so that I could be a bad influence on kids. Too many teachers now are worried about being a good influence, the world needs balance

Right? College is where the higher-level thinking happens. I wouldn’t want to teach at any other level

Right like MAYYYYYBE highschool seniors. MAYBE. But like being in a highschool surrounded by brainrot freshmen sounds like hell. And it only gets worse the younger you get. Also, the professor pay is so much better and you get to deal with significantly less shit.

Early childhood education is rich with pedagogical complexity, emotional intelligence, and psychological development, arguably more so than college. I think college is awesome, but they’re not really comparable

You’re balancing interpersonal develeopment, emotional regulation, and a bunch of kids with different stages of cognitive development all on top of the actual curriculum. entirely different ballgame from lecturing adults who already chose to be there and already have the foundation. early education research is a rlly interesting space!

u also get to empower kids on the beginning of their intellectual journeys, and get to see their spark as they explore subjects they like. really fulfilling experience
