JUST LET PEOPLE BE FAT, AND SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! Not a single person can be normal about fat people I stg. It’s not a choice by the way, the vast majority of people would never choose to be undesirable and looked down on in our fatphobic society.

i think usually when you are obese at this age youve been obese/overweight for most of your life, and its usually not your fault. when i was obese at 6 years old was that my fauly or was it the way i was raised? im just now 21, out of my parents roof and majoring in nutrition, and there is SO much im learning about childhood nutrition that my parents did not know.

Quality food can be expensive, long hours can make it hard to find time to work out, genetics, medical conditions, environmental factors, etc.

No one chooses to obey the laws of thermodynamics, but everyone has some amount of control on the variables of net calorie expenditure

Why do you think I put it in quotes? Lol. I can say as someone who is obese that it’s not a choice, i’ve tried so many times to lose weight and I just can’t keep the weight off

Hey. Stop it. People can work out and eat healthy, and still be fat. People can be fat and healthy. And someone being fat does not mean they’re lazy or unproductive. Also, someone being skinny does not mean they work out, cuz I’m skinny as fuck and I sit on my ass all day eating snacks. You are the problem because you don’t understand that it is normal for people to have different body types. “Fatphobic society my ass”, motherfucker you ARE the fatphobia

if you were formula fed you have a significant increase of childhood and adult obesity as opposed to an infant that was breastfed. that is something you cant control right off the bat. i believe weight has a lot more to do with hormones than meets the eye, calories in/calories out seems seems oversimplified and doesnt always work. those with thyroid issues and pcos cannot simply do that as they have a hormone issue that prevents that. i recommend the book “the obesity code” by jason fung

very very interesting stuff, he talks about how calories in/calories out is outdated because your body doesnt want to use fat for energy, your body will slowly decrease your BMR to match your calorie deficit. (meaning if you calculate your calories and -500 you should lose 1 lb of fat a week according to cal in/cal out but that doesnt always happen)

anyway, i also actually also believe its the food we eat and the way we eat it that plays a big role in obesity as well. some foods can really alter your hormones (seed oils, soy, etc). similarly, eating while watching a show can also alter your hormones (im guilty of this) watch a show while you eat-> attention on show, not on satiety-> leptin (satiety hormone) ignored-> done over time turns into overall decreased/delayed leptin response and increased ghrelin (hunger hormone)

also already having an increase of body fat is an increase in hormones as a lot of hormones are stored in bodyfat. ok ill shut up read the obesity code jason fung its amazing!!

No, you cant. Calorie deficit = body burns fat = loss weight. Stop trying to act like all doctors and dieticians are wrong and you are right. Also, a phobia is a hate or fear of, I dont hate fat people. Youre skinny because you either workout or dont eat enough.

Lets ask a dietician: does eating less fast food, more greens, and more protein make you lose weight? Go ahead, Ill wait.

I’m not putting any more effort into this. If being fat was a choice, most people wouldn’t choose it. Being fat is not a moral issue. Go away.
