I think Detroit is really underappreciated and people ignore a lot of the wonderful parts about them, but I LOVE Chicago. Such a fantastic place both to visit and live. Lots to do, more public transit than most places in the States, beautiful nature, lots of public services, and great academic/job opportunities. People are friendly and welcoming too

Yeah, Chicago sweeps this group pretty easily. Milwaukee’s cool as a beer guy, but it’s also a stone’s throw from Chicago, so if I wanna go brewery-hop in Milwaukee, it’s fine if I’m living in Chicago. Detroit’s cool and definitely undergoing a revival rn, but like every city on the list, it’s just too small to hold a candle to Chicago

Yeah, so have I, and none of them hold a candle to Chicago. Unless Buffalo is some hidden gem, that’s the only one I’ve never seen. Chicago is in my opinion Top 3 Cities in America, it trounces everywhere in the Midwest if you ask me

Actually, Chicago might be Top 1. I was thinking on my Top 3, and it’s Seattle, New York, and Chicago. Honestly, Chicago might take it between the 3

I fucking hate Los Angeles. And the closest major city to me is Portland, but Portland is kinda just a worse Seattle (unfortunately, I wish I could love Portland but I’ve seen better), New York and Chicago are great, and Chicago might be the best city in America, not taking surrounding area into account. I love Seattle because I love the PNW, New York is New York, and Chicago, in my opinion is like the perfect middle between the two

Ok the city of Erie isn’t like irredeemable it’s an ok enough place to live and it’s good if you want to live in liked more of a suburb than a city even though it’s still technically a city, but I just don’t like living in the general area, personally, and was being petty.
