Are you aware that in some states such as Alabama and Mississippi, Robert E. Lee day is the same day as MLK Day?

It doesn't matter bc no one cares about Robert E. Lee bc he's a loser (literally).

I mean yeah but it doesn’t really matter. Robert e Lee day started over 50 years before mlk day and given their birthdays are a day apart it makes sense administratively to put them on the same day to minimize paid govt holidays 🤷‍♀️

It’s only former confederate states not the entire U.S.

Idk he was a brilliant tactician that didn’t support slavery but couldn’t abide fighting his brothers

Also Alabama and Mississippi are some of the blackest states in the country so TRULY no one cares about Robert E. Lee day because who is even acknowledging it?

My school taught about Robert E Lee, I was also taught that civil war was not about slavery it was state rights! And some people called it the war of “northern aggression”
