The reason I ask this and differentiate results based on being American or not is because the GOP and Trump are currently trying to restrict mail-in voting as an option, which I think is wrong personally. I was curious what others on here thought, especially to see if Americans versus non-Americans on here feel differently about this
🇺🇸 Unless there is an actual medical need or in the context of military ballots I’m not in favor of mail-in voting for several reasons: Mail-in voting is less secure than in person voting, delays as related to mail-in voting has become increasingly common which undermines perception of our election’s legitimacy, mail-in ballots are more susceptible to legal challenges which not only disenfranchise voters but again delays results, mail-in ballots are often targets of illegal ballot harvesting etc
I’m not saying mail in voting is unsecured but the safest form of voting is in person voting. There have been studies done on the his subject. While still low overall and that point can’t be understated, it’s also true for that mail-in voting fraud is dramatically higher than in person fraud.
