One of my favorite road trips was with my dad in Florida in December a few years back. We just went through and hit different state parks, zoos, museums, and historic sites. Kayaked at silver springs, saw a bison at paynes prairie preserve, snorkeled with manatees, saw tons of Spanish colonial sites, and learned about other local history. Florida has a lot of obscure gems.
