Theres a debate on whether our morals stemmed from religion or if we naturally all feel similar about right and wrong. Like murder is obviously wrong, right ? But in some cultures it’s not viewed as inherently wrong, and their primary religion is different. I personally am not religious, but I do worry about the way society may progress morally if religion dwindles.
personally, in leaning towards it being a good thing. i think as a society we should lean towards rationality and science. within the last few decades, and especially recently, we've seen how religion can lead people towards acts of terrorism, bigotry, misogyny, etc. but im open to having my mind changed!
