Should we? Probably yeah, but on that vein no one should have instagram or x (twt) or facebook that are all associate or mega corp owned, its not a practical expectation and if youre worried enough to delete tik tok you should be petrified of the rest

I think the sentiment with deleting TikTok is mainly the short form context killing peoples attention spans and producing mass brainrot. Sure reels do that, too, but that’s not the sole purpose for Facebook and Instagram like it is TikTok

Considering a sale to oracle (highly associated with trump/his cabinet/israel) was finalized this week I assumed this post was regarding that and media censorship/data security, either way your point is null because theres equivalent short form content on every platform now

If people have a scrolling short form video addiction they will use other platforms for that even if it isnt the platforms main use, to be clear

The american sector of tik tok was sold to oracle which is widely linked to maga and supportive of isreal (just like every other social media owner). People are worried about data breaches and media censorship
