Turning comments off on this is very weird. Generally speaking? Yes. Assuming the job actually contributes something to society
Do you agree with this statement? If someone works harder or works longer hours then they should make more money versus someone who does not.

Like an emergency surgeon on call all the time working overtime should make more than a professional NBA player (imo) but does not, therefore is it agree or disagree? I agree overall but nuances (I believe what op is getting at) is like that statement I made regarding my opinion. Comments on polls aren’t MEANT for arguing that’s kinda just what happens when people debate things sometimes 🤷‍♀️

I don’t think you should have to sell your soul in order to make a living

Disagree. If I get my degree in something like Engineering and get a good job in my field, compared to working long hours at my high school job (pizzeria), my job is much more valuable to society and requires a lot of training and effort to get there. Whereas at the pizzeria, anyone can walk in and do the job with minimal training.

I turn off comments to avoid unnecessary arguments and people just insulting each other in the comment section.

Yea that makes sense, no hate . But there’s a ton of nuances in a poll like that

Describe a case where you believe yes would not be the appropriate answer?

I think it matters a lot if the job actually contributes to the well being of society for example. And yes I understand even the concept of “contributing to society” is still subjective. Take a job often criticized for adding no real value, a telemarketer. I think even someone working part time in a medical setting should earn more than a telemarketer who calls people all day and all night selling useless shit. Again this is just my opinion 🤷‍♂️

I see your point. I agree with your poky about medical people vs professional athletes. Also for example the military should make more and professional athletes should make less. But unfortunately being on tv and getting lots of publicity gets you alot of money in our world.

Precisely, that’s the only reason I believe this poll was made , only because of varying fields and such and I agree w you, it’s messed up in general lol
