You can’t “feel” the truth. There is fact and feeling and they’re not the same.

Those two statements aren’t mutually exclusive. You can feel the truth and have fact and feeling not be the same. It’s silly to try to deny that we can be emotionally drawn to the truth to prove a point.

The reason I disagree is that there are much less universal truths than most people think

I think it kinda depends. Like for example sometimes you’re kinda forced to feel the truth, ik two people who were dating and they both accused the other of heinous shit and said the other was lying. No concrete proof so I kinda had to just choose who to believe based off vibes.

You should always fact check your gut feelings where possible. But your gut feelings are also generally a decent guide to the world. You can’t fact check everything and decisions need to be made anyways. But always keep an open mind and try to make descions that allow course correction later. Cultivate an environment where it’s ok to be wrong.

I think most would agree on the basic fact that we feel drawn towards certain perspectives more than others, or feel that something is “off” about a lie

Yeah intuition is a feeling and is definitely real.
