
I’m not because if it comes to that, my power of attorney (whoever it may be, assuming they’re around if this ever happened to me) can make that decision for me. If I am legally brain dead but have viable organs, I don’t want medical personnel to whisk me away without gaining further consent from my loved ones which is exactly what happens
I’m in nursing school, have two nurse practitioners and a nurse in my family who’ve collectively worked in healthcare well over 50 years & they’ve seen too much shit. If you have loved ones you trust to make this decision for you if the situation ever came up, I highly recommend not being an organ donor and having a designated power of attorney
