Apparently the reason foot fetishes exist/appear mostly in men is that the X chromosome can carry a gene mutation that causes one to have a similar reaction to seeing some extremities like hands and feet in the same way as viewing genitalia. Much like color blindness, it can be corrected by the extra X that women have but men with Y are more susceptible to developing this quirk.
