I think if you’ve been loyal for decades and you’ve had the same job for decades and every has looked the same for decades and you cheat just for your own sanity, it’s not worth throwing away your relationship over that

What #1 said kinda and like - not that I *approve* but I’ve known of situations where a person cheats on an abusive partner as like. A last ditch attempt to get the other person to let them leave
