It sounds like veterinarians have GPs and specialists too, so yes, as long as the surgical specialist is experienced with mammals, i guess

Oh absolutely. The quality of the medication is worse than in doctor’s offices but the skill of the surgeon is still high quality. The biggest concern would be about the anesthesia

I must be really tired, I read this as vegetarian 😭😭😭 cuz they don’t cook meat they can’t operate?? wtf?? Oh wait. Animal doctor. Yeah no they can operate on me 😭

You know they do the same amount of work as doctors right, and it’s in fact even harder cause their patients can’t tell them what’s wrong

Also they have to know a wide variety of species! Not just humans. And they’re just more likely to be bitten by a patient so they’ve got to be able to handle that

the thing is even GPs often do surgery, although those surgerys are usually less intensive than surgeries by specialists and they have to know a ton of species as well so like if the surgery in question was something like removal of sexual organs, a limb, an eye, or repairing a broken bone, a lot of GP’s can do that

they also do the same if not more with a lot less than human med so with limited supplies they’d be especially great
